On April 26th, Bob & Janet McCaig made a generous $500,000 gift to STEGH’s Great Expansion. This is the McCaig family’s second gift and brings their donation to $1,000,000! A tremendous thanks to the McCaig family.


A bear-y generous donation! Thanks to Stephanie and Peter of the Bear Friend Factory for their generous donation of +80 bears to the ER Buddies program at STEGH. Every child who visits the ER receives a teddy.


Tru holiday generosity! Thanks to Kayla (R) and Jess (C) at Tru Hot Yoga for this fantastic $1,500 donation to STEGH’s Great Expansion and new CT Scanner.


The Odd Fellows St. Thomas Lodge #76 recently made a $2,500 donation to STEGH’s Great Expansion and CT Scanner! A big thanks to the Odd Fellows.

Wow! $17,000 raised from the 2016 Railway City Road Races! The volunteer committee is pictured with Dr. Andy VanHouwlingen, one of our Orthopaedic Surgeons (centre) with the big cheque and some of the surgical equipment (held by Dr. Andy) that has been purchased from the funds raised from the race over the last few years. Thanks to all of the volunteers, participants and sponsors who all contributed to this amazing race and fundraising result!


What a wonderful gift! The Aylmer Shrine Club made a $2,100 donation to STEGH’s Women and Children’s Unit to purchase a “kangaroo” chair for our patients. Congratulations to Dr. Hugh McLachlan on his recent retirement. In September, STEGH Surgeons gathered at the St. Thomas Golf & Country Club to celebrate the recent retirement and presented the STEGH Foundation with a $10,000 donation to honour Dr. McLachlin, his late father Dr. John A. McLachlin, as well as his family. The proceeds will be designated to Surgical equipment.


A big thanks to the Union South Yarmouth Optimist Club, who made a very generous donation of $3,000 to STEGH’s Great Expansion!


Thank you to Rod and Lisa, owners of Brix & Stix in St. Thomas. In September they held an anniversary/grand re-opening BBQ at their new location. They raised funds for STEGH’s Women’s & Children’s Unit. Thanks!


Starwood Call Centre shines through with knitted hat donation! Today Jackie (C) and Angie (R) made a donation of 162 knitted hats from the employees at Starwood. This is the third year they have made this donation to STEGH’s Women & Children’s Unit. Accepting the hats are STEGH Foundation Board Members Lyle McLean (L) and Susan O’Brien (C)! Thanks to all of the volunteers who made the hats!


Members of the Western Ontario Mopar Owners made a generous $1,000 donation to STEGH’s Great Expansion and new CT Scanner! A BIG Thanks to the Western Ontario Mopar Owners!


Our sincere thanks to Jennifer Pasquini (sitting, left); Rebecca Gielen (standing, left); and LeeAnn Ostia (standing, right) who made an incredibly thoughtful donation of Origami Owl lockets to STEGH’s Women & Children’s Unit. Kelly Garrod, CRN (sitting, right) accepts the donation. The lockets are meant for parents who have lost a baby. The ladies have started “Footprints 4 Angels” program to donate these lockets to local hospitals so parents may have a small memento of their child. Thank you ladies.


$60,000 raised from STEGH’s annual signature gala! This year’s Masquerade Gala was a big success. Funds are designated to STEGH’s new CT Scanner!


S is for Smile and C is for Cookies! Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign saw tremendous results this year! The St. Thomas franchises raised $29,729 for STEGH’s Great Expansion!

Congratulations to Grandma’s Oven for winning an Aylmer & Area Chamber of Commerce Community Spirit Award. Martha Zacharias (right) owner of Grandma’s Oven presented her $750 award to help OUR Special Care Nursery in honour of her nephews Wesley & Logan who were born in London and then cared for at STEGH.
